The Gates is a Grade II listed former coaching inn in the heart of Baldock, close to friendly local pubs, & quality restaurants.

The Gates takes its' name from the very old gates which form the entrance to the courtyard & garden at the rear of the property - these were taken from a former leper colony on the outskirts of Baldock & are many hundreds of years old.

The historic market town of Baldock is noted for its' wide Georgian High Street & Market Place with many period buildings. It is set amongst some of Hertfordshire's finest countryside, & is only 35 miles from London & 25 miles from Cambridge.

The Gates Guest House is located a 5 minute walk from Baldock train station & a 5 minute drive from junctions 9 or 10 of the A1(M)
